Update July 2022 Have been twice since new management took over. Same menu (except halal) but friendly staff and service much better- offer free water and orders came quickly, and correctly. Good vegan options. Better seating outdoors with umbrellas on the tables. Exciting events like crocodile adventures. Prices are pretty much the same as the other local cafes/brunch places we go to like Dobbies Woodcote green, but in a lovely quiet areas. Will definitely visit again !! I absolutely love Lord Roberts, have been coming here for years and even more so since it changed ownership. The food is delicious and its halal which is great to cater to more customers. It’s got a lovely vibe, the owner makes an effort to chat and the menu is always growing. My kids even like joining me here and it’s nice to sit outside with them in the summer months. I recently went for brunch and had the most delicious hazelnut and pistachio cake - my 2 year old said it was the best cake she’s ever had in her life I always come here to impress friends or family. Perfect for a special occasion, and they sometimes do late openings - when I last went the homemade Lebanese dinner was a little bit of a treat price wise, but really flavoursome so I’d return.

Had a lovely afternoon tea with my mum, sister and friends. Food was absolutely delicious, we are big afternoon tea fans and it's definitely the best for flavours / taste we've been to! Service was great too, the lovely man who waited on us couldn't do enough. They gave cold carrots to the babies to nibble on as well as plastic plates and cups. It's rare we go somewhere that says the accept babies and genuinely make us feel welcome with them and I can't fault them at all for how everyone was with them. Honestly cannot recommend enough! Looking forward to going back with more of our family soon!

I had a fantastic rainy Tuesday sitting in the conservatory of this little gem of an establishment. Decor was beautiful and staff were active, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Not only were they excellent, they genuinely seemed to enjoy the job which created a great atmosphere. I was honestly stunned. It was such a nice homely feel. It was also busy when we arrived. We’d booked a table and our booking time was politely and decoratively written on a small stand at our table (including the time our slot ended) but we didn’t get the impression that we had to rush at all. In fact it was pouring with rain and it got a bit quieter after 1pm so we were welcomed to stay. So we had some tea and cake, which was delicious. Staff were helpful with the menu, I have allergies and there was absolutely none of the panic that unsettled me in some establishments when I mention it. I felt confident about picking food. I was delighted to find they offer turkey bacon and had eggs. I did have to knock off a star for the eggs Benedict. The eggs were between runny and well done and I found the muffin a little dry so it missed some flavour for me, but the coffee was amazing, as was the rose tea I had later. It’s worth adding that the toilet here was one of the nicest smelling I’ve ever been in?! It smelled like strawberries and was super clean, always a massive bonus. Oh and the restaurant is not only dog friendly, but staff are really nice to dogs, it was so cute to see how well a little poodle was treated in there. There was a little comfy bed , a bowl of water, and treats offered to the pooch, which was adorable. I will definitely visit again soon. Great way to spend an afternoon. Definitely book ahead to avoid disappointment!

Thank you to all the staff at LROTG for an amazing Afternoon Tea last Sunday 6/4/25, to celebrate our Mum’s 85th birthday! We all had a wonderful time. There were 22 of us and we were seated in the pretty conservatory area. This was lovely, as it enabled us to chat together. It’s very rare that we are all able to get together at the same time! The sandwiches, savouries, pastries and dainty sweet treats were delicious and beautifully presented! The mini scones were the perfect size. There was plenty to go around, and we were offered takeout boxes, to take home anything we didn’t manage to eat, which was a kind gesture. We were looked after very well, by friendly and attentive staff, who went out of their way to ensure we all had the best experience. Thank you for making Mum’s 85th birthday extra special! x

We celebrated mum’s 80th with the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had. The fillings in the sandwiches were huge and delicious, all the savoury nibbles were handmade and very tasty and the mini sweet treats were exquisite. After all of that we then had handmade scones which were a delight as they were not to big and the perfect round off to the afternoon tea. A very good selection of tea flavours, we all very much enjoyed our time. The atmosphere and surroundings were very relaxing and totally charming. The staff were lovely and they’re very lucky to have such a talented chef showing his love for food on the plate. I would highly recommend and thank you for bringing mum joy on her special day. We will be back, Lou xx
